Position Overview

As a bookkeeper, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial records. Your role will involve setting up accounting systems, reconciling accounts, administering payroll, and preparing financial statements to contribute to our clients' financial success. Tax preparation experience is considered an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Set up and maintain accounting systems for clients
  • Reconcile accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness
  • Administer payroll services, ensuring timely and accurate payments
  • Prepare financial statements for review
  • Record day-to-day financial transactions in the accounting system
  • Manage accounts payable and receivable

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a bookkeeper or in a similar role
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and practicesMeticulous reconciliation experience
  • Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy
  • Experience in payroll administration
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills
  • Tax preparation experience is considered an asset
  • Auditing experience is considered an asset
  • Emerging technology knowledge is considered an asset
  • Cryptocurrency accounting experience is considered an asset
  • Computer programming using Python is considered an asset (not mandatory)
